The orchestration of luxury watchmaking.

Sometimes we ask ourselves where the boundaries of luxury
watchmaking lie. Such is the case with the Répétition Minutes
Zéphyr, whose complications and intricate manufacturing process make
it a particularly exceptional piece.

Guy Ellia chose to combine the most poetic complication with two
extremely functional complications.

The first, Répétition Minutes, allows for a cathedral chime to sound
on the hour, quarter hour and minutes, day and night, on request. The
owner of the watch thus becomes a conductor directing a two-tone
instrument, turning time into music…

The second, for the multiple time zones, allows the owner to see
the time in his reference country on the central hands and that of four
other time zones by means of rollers showing the name of a city and the
corresponding time with a day-night indicator.

The third, the power reserve indicator, essential for a mechanical
calibre, allows the owner to see at a glance for how much longer the
movement will operate autonomously.

Guy Ellia has produced a case that meets the same high technical
standards as the Christophe Claret calibre, a renowned mechanical handwound complication.

The technical prowess of the Répétition Minutes Zéphyr is revealed
through a solid, convex, high-resonance sapphire crystal case of impressive
proportions (53.6 x 43.7 x 14.8mm) carved in a solid mass enhanced
with white gold, red gold or titanium.

An extraordinary watch for connoisseurs with a sanded black bottom
plate, 720 components including rhodium-plated wheels in various colours,
two time zones displayed on the front and two others on the back, all
four operating in harmony with the Répétition Minutes hammers.

Yet another technical feat reflecting the watchmaking expertise of
Guy Ellia, the chiming mechanism is positioned at 6 o’clock instead of
10 o’clock, the usual placement. A bold move, and a complication unto itself!

The Répétition Minutes Zéphyr, complicated ambassador of Guy Ellia,
is water resistant to 30 metres, mounted on a rubber strap with a gold
or titanium folding clasp and boasts a diamond cabochon on the winding
button.
